As a Staff Systems Engineer on the Advanced Data Links Team, you will be part of a multi-functional team comprised of Systems and Hardware engineers leading development of our next generation communications products supporting our military and their partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leading engineering systems efforts throughout the system lifecycle
Subsystem requirements analysis, definition, and validation
Systems and card level integration and requirements verification testing
Effective technical collaboration among systems, hardware and software design functions
Assisting in resolving technical problems that cross functional domain areas of hardware and software
Supporting customer platform integration.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR
Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
A Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or Science field, a Masters of Science degree is preferable
Demonstrated experience as a systems engineer throughout systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, and verification/validation, and transition to production
Ability to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with bid and pursuit work in a government acquisition model
Familiarity with design and development to meet environment and EMI standards such as MIL-STD-810
Familiarity with comm engineering architectures (e.g: general radio transceiver architectures/designs, basic radio functional component blocks, performance specifications and test methodologies)
Knowledge of RF propagation, testing,
Experience working with and testing embedded hardware and software
Familiarity with engineering development in an agile environment.
