NOW HIRING 1ST AND 2ND SHIFT WELDERS!

Job Description

As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding various types of steel in the production of frames. Your ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics will be crucial in identifying the right parts for the job. You will use tools such as tape measures, protractors, combination squares, micrometers, and dial calipers. You will set voltages and wire speeds on welding machines to create reliable and aesthetic-looking welds. Your role will also involve using an oxyacetylene torch to cut, preheat or anneal metal parts. You will be required to weld from various positions, including climbing in and out of frames. Additionally, you will assemble shear heads, use feeder and gauges to set blade clearance, and complete welding tasks. Your tasks will involve working with sheet metal to make guards, running shear in the booth, and using the hand brake to bend up edges and weld completely. You will also operate a CNC Burn Table and maintain it along with related equipment. You will have a working knowledge of computers and CNC controls and be capable of using a power leaf brake, power shear, hand brake, and power roll.

Experience Required:

• Welding

• Production

• Blueprint Reading

• Usage of tape measures, protractors, combination squares, micrometers, and dial calipers

• Usage of power leaf brake, power shear, hand brake, and power roll

• Knowledge of computers and CNC controls

Other Information:

• 1st or 2nd shift

• Up to $25 an hour starting off

• Located in Cedar Rapids
