Job Description

SHIFT: Sunday-Thursday, 12am-8am

COMPENSATION:

Starting $19.81/hr

3 months $21.37/hr

1 year $22.44/hr

BASIC FUNCTION: The forklift operator is responsible for using a forklift or other equipment to load, unload, move, pick, stack, stage and count product and materials. Uses Radio frequency equipment to pick, receive, put away and stage new production, film returns, film deliveries to machines and shipments to both customers and warehouses. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operator of the vehicle.

JOB DUTIES:

Unload inbound shipments safely, making sure documentation for shipment is accurate and shipment is free of damage. Note damage on documentation, contact supervisor.

Utilize RF equipment on forklift to move and store materials in warehouse and confirm put away location in SAP (New production, returns and inbound shipments)

Use RF equipment to accurately pick and stage outbound shipments (LTL and Volume)

Use RF equipment to print address labels, pallet labels and carton labels as needed

Use RF equipment to pick and stage film to production machines in Extrusion, Press and Finishing

Pick, stage and put away inbound/outbound materials, cartons and other commodities not in SAP

Pickup and delivery of inbound small package shipments (Fed Ex Air,Ground and UPS) and also of plant mail to and from the Post Office

Perform/assist with Inventory cycle count process

Identify and report equipment damage, damages to warehouse (rack supports, legs, guards) and safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.

Be a team player and be willing to learn and participate as a member of the Distribution Department. (WCOM and other programs)

Understands and maintains respective role in Food Safety

Maintain safe work environment and insure that all company safety procedures are followed

Other duties and responsibilities may be required and or assigned as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to satisfy the licensing requirements of a lift truck driver (written and driving)

Good vision and hearing

Ability to follow directions, maintain quality, accuracy and work as a team player

Must have eye for detail and be able to multi-task

Able and willing to perform extensive lifting, up to 80#

Ability to use a calculator, computer and RF equipment

Ability to learn and use SAP

Good communication skills, willingness to help o hers

Ability to work with the team to provide the necessary coverage needed on shift. This may require picking up additional hours/shift to provide coverage.
