Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician to perform HPLC testing, prepare process and finished product samples, and conduct various analytical tests. The role involves recording results into software programs, organizing and preparing samples, and maintaining a clean lab environment. You will also perform light maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment and ensure all systems are operating accurately.

Responsibilities

• Conduct HPLC testing

• Clean testing equipment and lab area

• Perform light maintenance and calibration on all laboratory equipment

• Organize, clean, and schedule orders for lab equipment

• Compare equipment readouts with samples of standards to ensure accurate operation

Essential Skills

• Experience with pH testing

• Laboratory experience

• GMP experience

• Skill in titration and HPLC

• GC experience

• Quality control and assurance

• Knowledge of chemistry and lab testing

• Familiarity with lab equipment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associates of Science or Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry or related field preferred

• 1-2 years of relevant lab-based experience

• Ability to multi-task and run various tests

• Familiarity with moisture testing and pH testing

• Willingness to be trained on HPLC, GC, and other scientific instrumentation

Work Environment

The lab technician role offers full-time positions in the lab conducting tests. Some positions will support a 16-month ethanol project, involving sample collection and running tests in the lab. This job operates on a rotating shift schedule, alternating days and nights every other weekend, with 12-hour shifts from 7a-7p and 7p-7a. The schedule includes 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. Initial training will follow a flexible schedule. This role has the potential to become a long-term contract position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00
