The Division Director of Finance functions as a business partner who is dedicated to supporting clinical and operational excellence of the hospital by proactively driving strategic initiatives. Additionally, the Division Director of Finance serves as thought-leader; utilizing financial techniques to deliver outstanding performance. Division Director of Finance Key Responsibilities:
Plans, coordinates, executes and maintains the annual operating and capital budgets for MercyOne
Contribute to success with heavy experience in healthcare cost reporting, revenue cycle, operational budgeting and financial forecast
Provides oversight and leadership for the development and administration of the decision support function for MercyOne
Ensures successful participation in benchmarking and productivity initiatives
Represents Finance Department with respect to Committees and special projects, as required
Provides Financial Support to Service Lines and Clinical Support Platforms
Participates in the month-end close process and financial reporting
Serves as a strategic business partner and plans and coordinates long range plan for MercyOne;
Support continued operational stability with "big picture" thinking and strategic vision

Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or healthcare-related field; MBA and CPA preferred
10+ years progressive financial management experience in hospital or health care related setting
Minimum five years of experience managing direct reports
At least two years of experience in key leadership roles, overseeing major functions and processes beyond entry level management
Proven ability to influence and partner without direct reporting relationships
Proven ability to effectively develop a high performing team of professionals
Comprehensive Skills : corporate accounting, corporate finance, revenue cycle, cash flow, capital, credit, financial planning and analysis (fp&a), profitability and loss (p&l), strategic vision, strategic planning, forecasting, operational budgeting, margins, healthcare, leadership, problem solving, critical thinking, board, board committees, board of trustees, physician relations, clinical service lines, cpa, certified public accountant, cpsi, rural, rural healthcare, executive, executive leadership, critical access, emr, controller
