University of Iowa Community Credit Union Vice President/Trust Officer in Clive, Iowa

Position Summary

Coordinates activities relative to creating and administering investment management accounts, trusts, conservatorships, estates, financial plans, and other approved products/services in accordance with the terms of the controlling document, applicable laws and GreenState Trust Services’ policies and procedures by performing the following duties.

Salary range for this position is $108,206.28 - $144,823.90 with a progressive benefit package.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change:

  • Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.

  • Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.

  • Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.

  • Ensures confidentiality of member information.

  • Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.

  • Presents a professional image from a personal and professional level that will be beneficial to both the Credit Union and GreenState Wealth Management.

  • Manages a Trust Services portfolio in assigned market(s), which may include opening accounts, completing sales, managing processing of documentation, completion of other service needs, or other duties as necessary to manage the relationships.

  • Initiates business development activities for GreenState Trust Services and GreenState Credit Union by making calls on existing and potential members. Works to create a network of contactsand referral sources in the business community through involvement in a variety of activities.

  • Develops internal and external referral clients and relationships.

  • Utilizing a comprehensive needs-based selling approach, helps members identify financial goals and objectives from face-to-face financial analysis and identifies appropriate products to meet individual and family goals and objectives.

  • Works with clients to determine the following: financial position, resources, assets available to invest, financial goals, asset allocation, and identify risk tolerances, and investment objectives.

  • Builds long-term financial advisory relationship with clients.

  • Promotes and cross-sells other established products and services as appropriate to customer requirements.

  • Responsible for leadership or involvement in special projects and/or other duties, as assigned.

  • Meets attendance standards to perform job functions including physical presence to provide team oversite, coordination of work, and ongoing feedback.

  • Complies with Trust rules and regulations.

Job Requirements/Expectations

  • Bachelor's degree, plus seven years related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A JD, CPA or CFA designation preferred.

  • Travel required as needed.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Ability to effectively work internally across business lines and externally across organizations in a team environment to provide products and services for members.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and other PC based software applications.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Senior Vice President/Wealth Management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is not responsible for the supervision of others.
