Job Title: Biology lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of lab equipment to process standard and non-standard products using thermal cyclers and liquid handling machines.

• Perform a variety of PCR protocols and post PCR cleanup steps.

• Demonstrate aseptic and sterile techniques to minimize the risk of contamination of products.

• Efficiently multitask while running multiple processes.

• Ensure accurate product records.

• Use customer software in a Windows-based environment.

• Quantify and sample products for quality control tests.

• Troubleshoot product, process, or equipment problems.

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.

Essential Skills

• PCR experience.

• Experience with sterile techniques.

• Experience with gel electrophoresis.

• Data sequencing experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology or other related scientific field OR Associate's degree in science plus 2 years of PCR experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.47 - $24.47
