In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Prepare organic compounds according to documented procedures (from literature and/or R&D reports) and regulations using current chemical reaction equipment with no or minimal supervision.

  • Develop improvements to existing processes for the preparation of raw materials to reduce cost and increase efficiency.

  • Measure and handle chemicals safely and in an accurate manner independently with minimal to no supervision.

  • Present and discuss improvements with operational groups, management, and R&D associates.

  • Other duties as assigned.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemistry required.

  • Minimum 2-5 years related experience in industrial organic chemistry required. Organic chemistry lab experience can include undergraduate research and graduate research.

  • Proficiency in PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry with 0-2 years related industrial organic chemistry work experience preferred.
