This position is part of the Operations Process Engineering Department located in Coralville, Iowa and will be on-site. At IDT, we are one global team. We celebrate our differences, engage in healthy debates, and are inclusive. Together, we accomplish great things.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Work in close collaboration with stakeholders and management to populate the VAVE funnel with vetted and appropriately valued opportunities
Develop validation plans and assist with VAVE projects to realize efficiencies on materials, reagents, equipment, etc
Identify quality impacts and propose next steps to meet or exceed product quality expectations
Support manufacturing with project reviews including, but not limited to, Process Maps, FMEA, and Risk-Mitigation Plans
Drive continuous improvement through testing, analysis, and implementation of process controls
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, sourcing, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience
Basic to intermediate level of VAVE knowledge
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, PSP, DMAIC, or similar problem-solving methodology
Benchtop laboratory or lab automation experience
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Leading VAVE or other cost efficiency improvement projects
JMP software data analysis
Ability to develop and sustain productive work relationships with support groups and internal stakeholders
