Job Summary:

The CIP Operator position inspects and cleaning equipment and work areas, disassembling and reassembling equipment according to company procedure ensuring all GMP, safety and 5S standards are met. You will work on site at the Council Bluffs location. You will report to the Sanitation Team Leader. Your work place can vary from cold, hot, wet, humid, and high level of noise.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position

• Regular attendance to ensure production requirements are met

• Work in a wet environment

• Move up to 50lbs

Job Duties:

• Inspect equipment (e.g., kettles, mixers, and blenders)

• Obtain all necessary tools to clean in place (e.g., chemicals, utensils)

• Perform Lock Out Tag Out on equipment

• Ensure all electrical control panels are covered

• Manually disassemble equipment

• Rinse, clean, and sanitize equipment according to set procedures using high pressure hoses

• Clean and clear area of all trash and debris

• Re-assemble all equipment including parts and guards

• Ensure that Lock is removed from equipment for startup

• Perform general housekeeping adhering to 5s standards

Skills Required:

• You will work well with others

• Be LOTO certified

• Be PIT certified and maintain certification

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience Required: Minimum 3 months' Sanitation or related experience preferred.
