ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to work as scheduled ona regular and reliable basis.
Assists with group instructional reinforcement, supporting students at teacher’s direction, as needed.
Ability to work in multiple rooms, collaborating with numerous people.
Ability to work with a flexible schedule on a daily basis.
Assists in assessing students on age-appropriate skills in multiple developmental areas, including social-emotional, physical, language, literacy, mathematics, and cognitive development.
Assists teachers in maintaining program accreditation requirements related to health, safety, and sanitation.
Assists teachers with daily care routines for all children.
Assists teachers in promoting a positive learning environment.
Supports and maintains individualized behavior management programs.
Utilizes conflict resolution techniques to assist students in solving problems.
Participates in and implements ongoing training and professional development related to early childhood development and education.
Assists teachers with implementation of specific instructional requirements as indicated in the individual education plans for each student, as needed.
Assists teachers in supervision of students including, but not limited to: arrival/dismissal, loading/unloading buses, classroom, playground, individualized settings.
Assists with preparation of instructional materials as needed.
Assists teachers with gathering data for reports and paperwork related functions as needed.
Annually completes CPI: Verbal De-escalation Training
Operates school equipment such as Chromebooks, copier, communication devices, etc.
