JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for leading all daily Patient Access operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Others may be assigned.

  • Assistsin preparation for both short and long range planning recommendations for allRegistration Process areas including: pre-service and point-of-servicefinancial clearance activities and Patient Access functions. Actively practice budget/cost management.

  • Developand implement action plans as identified.

  • Managesall operational metrics to ensure the department meets client and Conifer goalsincluding, but not limited to Service Level Agreements and budgetaryguidelines.

  • Consistentlymanages staffing activities in areas of responsibility. This includes documentation andidentification of needs, selection of staff, wage/salary activities,orientation and training. Grow/Mentorsupervisors and ensure staff engagement and commitment to strategy, mission andgoals. Communicate proactively and positively with direct supervisor to ensurepersonal growth in knowledge and skill set.

  • Enforcesdepartmental policies, practices, procedures and work rules in accordance withapproved hospital policies and assists in the development of new policiesaccording to hospital and corporate guidelines.

  • Consistentlycommunicates appropriate information to staff and provides feedback to Directorand CFO. Communicates deficits andproblems to supervisor with recommended solutions for improvements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position carries out supervisoryresponsibilities in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures andapplicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, andtraining employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraisingperformance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints andresolving problems.

Reports to (titles) Director I or II onsite

Leadership: Can be standalone leader at a clinicfacility

Must be MGR, PA I if PAD is onsite

  • Ability to receiveand express detailed information through oral and written communications.

  • Strong knowledgeand ability to drive operational metrics.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training,and/or experience required to perform the job.

  • High SchoolDiploma or equivalent.

  • College degreepreferred.

  • 3-5 years ofHealth Care Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Extensiveknowledge of relationship between Admitting, Clinical Areas, FinancialAreas, and pre-service and point-of-service financial clearanceactivities.
