Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for operating power industrial trucks and machinery to move products, materials, and supplies from one area to another and to load items onto trucks, shelves, racks, and pallets. Candidates will be operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts. Interviews for positions in the Distribution Center will be conducted across the street from the normal plant.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts

• Move products, materials, and supplies within the warehouse

• Load items onto trucks, shelves, racks, and pallets

• Utilize RF scanners for order picking

• Handle inventory and material management

• Unload shipments as needed

Essential Skills

• 6+ months of forklift experience (stand-up or sit-down)

• Ability to lift up to 75+ lbs

• Basic math skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with general labor and production tasks

• Proficiency in using RF scanners

• Knowledge of inventory and material handling processes

Work Environment

You will be working in a manufacturing and production environment, which may include exposure to high/precarious places, moving machinery, significant temperature and humidity changes, dust, odors, and fumes. The environment can be loud. Shifts include: A/B Shift: 6:45 AM - 6:45 PM, C/D Shift: 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM, and Packaging: Days: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (M-F), Mids: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM (M-F), Nights: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Sun-Thurs). The facility is not climate controlled, being very hot in summer and normal temperature in winter. Steel-toe shoes are required, and jeans/shorts and work-appropriate attire are acceptable. Approximately 300 employees work here.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00
