REGIONAL HEALTH SERVICES OF HOWARD COUNTY Pharmacist- Part-time and/or full-time in CRESCO, Iowa

POSITION SUMMARY:iThe Pharmacist will perform daily functions of the pharmacy department in dispensing pharmaceutical needs to our customers. This position will assist personnel in standards and quality of care, inventory control and intra- and interdepartmental communication.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DETAILED DUTIES:Ensures adequate inventory control and contract recommendations. Assesses need for supplies, equipment, and services for retail pharmacy and prices products to sell with appropriate gross margins.Utilizes cost containment procedures to stay within operating budget.Ensure compliance with regulations dealing with Pharmacy.Counsels patients on the effects, dosage, and route of administration of their drug treatments, particularly those require complex drug therapy. Acts as a patient advocate.Understands, maintains and utilizes all computer hardware and software necessary to fulfill daily operations.Respects patient privacy and treats all information and treatment of patient as confidential.Provides competent patient care to all ages by obtaining and appropriately interpreting data, making appropriate decisions based on demonstrated knowledge of age-specific growth and development and appropriately adapting procedures and treatments.Demonstrates a commitment to Service Excellence and the RHSHC Standards of Behavior.Maintains a positive attitude in promoting the hospital's mission, philosophy, purpose, and high standards of health care to our customers.Maintains security, privacy and confidentiality of patient health information according to HIPAA guidelines and computer security guidelines.Supports and abides by all health center departmental and safety policies and procedures.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Completion of the requirements for a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D. in Pharmacy at an accredited college of pharmacy is required.Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Iowa, either by examination or reciprocity, is required.One-Two (1-2) years' experience in similar practice is required.Must be able to perform supervisory and planning functions.Must have excellent organization, written and oral communication skills.Must have good computer skills.Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.Must have valid car insurance to meet requirements.For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
