WDC ACQUISITION LLC Dock Worker in CRESTON, Iowa

Must be available to work any shift (days, evenings, or nights)QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION: High School Diploma or EquivalencyEXPERIENCE: On the job- EEO/AA M/F/V/D- NCRC preferredGENERAL DESCRIPTION:Responsible for documenting all products shipped and received in the company. Packing the goods in shipping containers or pallets, develop mailing labels and shipping documents and ensure that all orders have been filled correctly. These workers also verify incoming deliveries and insure timely and accurate delivery of required materials to all areas of the Plant.SUMMARY: The dock workers are assigned loading, checking, and unloading of freight shipments in a fast paced environment. Strong communication skills are required to work as an integral team member. Stacking pallets, manifesting of freight, and other general assigned duties are a part of the job. SPECIFIC DUTIES:Accurately document all shipments in accordance to the Quality Control documentation and environmental shipping informational procedures.Verify parts received match the Packing List quantities and report discrepancies to the Receiving Supervisor. Verifying that serial numbers match the packing slip.Box and package castings to customer requirementsPerform the loading and unloading delivery trucks. Insure timely and accurate delivery of required materials and supplies to all areas of the Plant.Stock warehouse items in their proper locations as required. Perform routine inspections on parts received to ensure that no shipping damage has occurred and report any damages to the Receiving Supervisor. Unpack Part Numbers that have been returned from outside processing and place on the correct piece of material handling equipment.As needed- perform clean-up of the warehouse. All other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able to read and understand standard operating procedures, be able to follow direct policies and procedures precisely.Vision-sight, cannot be color-blindOperate some power hand tools and hoistsOperating hoistsReading, writing, some math aptitude, good memory retentionLift up to 50 lbs. at waist level and up to 50 lbs. at shoulder level on a frequent basis when moving products and push or pull with up to 80 lbs. of force on an occasional basis when moving productsDisplay average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job tasksPerform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling productsStoop, kneel or squat on an occasional basis when handling productsReach forward and to the side on a frequent basis when handling productsStand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis during the course of each shiftAble to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per dayAbility to learn how to operate specific vehicles (forklift, walk behind forklift and Cushman operating vehicle) These job duties are not all inclusive.
