Must be available to work all shifts (days, evenings, or nights)QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalencyEXPERIENCE: Certifiable per NAS-410 as Level 2 non-film; Be proficient with computers and related technical knowledge- EEO/AA M/F/V/D- NCRC preferredGENERAL DESCRIPTION:Vision (must meet industry requirements), depth perception, hearing, hand-eye coordination, dexterity, reading, writing and above average math aptitude and computer skills.In addition to training and experience hours, anyone applying to a reader position shall pass (70% or above) a preliminary aptitude exam approved by the departmental manager/supervisor.TRAINING:Must have a minimum of 3000 hours of on the job training at Wellman Dynamics or equivalent outside experienceCompletion of 40 hours formal training, in addition to the 40 hours for a Level ICERITIFICATION:Must pass a general, specific and practical examination (Initially and every 5 years for re-certification)Must pass a yearly eye exam demonstrating no color discrimination and acceptable visual acuityMust obtain and maintain State Radiographic card or equivalentSPECIFIC DUTIES:Must have skills and knowledge necessary to set-up/shoot partsMust have skills and knowledge necessary to interpret and evaluate casting indicationsMust be able to set-up/program partsRecord results of inspection in accordance with work instructions approved by the Responsible Level 3Ensures digital image quality meets specifications and takes actions to correct as neededThoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of radiography methodCapable of directing the work of trainees and Level 1 personnelLevel 2 is knowledgeable of the specifications and standards used at Wellman Dynamics and able to organize and document results of the examination iMust be familiar with the calibration and use of equipment such as: Imaging plates, CR scanner, interpretation software as well as related equipment. Strong PC skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Lift up to 50 lbs. at waist level and up to 50 lbs. at shoulder level on a frequent basis when moving productsPush or pull with up to 80 lbs. of force on an occasional basis when moving productsGenerate up to 80 lbs. of grip strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling productsGenerate up to 15 lbs. of pinch strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling productsDisplay average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job tasksPerform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling productsStoop, kneel or squat on an occasional basis when handling productsReach forward and to the side on a frequent basis when handling productsStand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis during the course of each shiftAble to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per dayiThese job duties are not all inclusive.
