Secondary Science Teacher
Overview

A secondary science teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in various scientific disciplines to secondary students. Qualifications
:
- Valid Iowa Teaching License required
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred but not required)
- Teaching certification/licensure in secondary science education
- Strong content knowledge in multiple scientific disciplines
- Experience teaching secondary-level science courses
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
- Design and implement a comprehensive science curriculum that aligns with state standards and educational objectives for secondary students. Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that promote inquiry-based learning and critical thinking skills.
Instruction:
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in various scientific disciplines, such as biology, chemistry, physics, Earth science, and environmental science. Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, laboratory experiments, demonstrations, discussions, and multimedia resources.
