If you are an energetic professional that wants to be a part of a dynamic team we encourage you to apply.The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Surge Team Manager in organizing, planning, implementing and follow-through of continuous improvement initiatives. The Continuous Improvement Specialist role includes both creation of strategic vision and tactical management and execution. Other responsibilities (but not limited to) are the following:Ensure a culture is in place that puts the safety and welfare of our employees ahead of all other goalsLead Operational Excellence using Continuous Improvement (CI) principles, tools, methods, and techniques, in direct support of achieving business goals, improved performance, and decreased costBrainstorm, coordinate, implement, and monitor improvement activities with specific KPI targets while taking into account feedback from area stakeholdersDemonstrate a knowledge of, and commitment to, lean manufacturing principles and techniquesAssist in providing a plant-wide framework for CI and SMART Manufacturing implementation and facilitate the execution of this strategyDeploy rapid improvement techniquesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (or actively working towards) in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or other relevant degrees from an accredited institutionMinimum of 1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and with lean process improvements. Internships and Co-op with related expierence will be considered.Experience with Lean Manufacturing theories, methodologies, standards, and tools and ability to utilize Lean tools to generate meaningful, quantified improvement in: cost reduction, efficiency, reduced inventory, shortened cycle or lead times, improved quality and reliability, on-time delivery, or safetyComputer Skills - proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
