Coordinator, LogisticsJob DescriptionLocated in North America's wind belt, Davenport is at the forefront of renewable energy technology and has remained home to our largest manufacturing facility since 1927. Originally producing cereal, the factory became a pet food-only manufacturer in the late '90's and as the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S., it carefully produces, packages and ships several varieties of our Dog Chow, Puppy Chow, Alpo, Beneful, Nestl Purina ONE, Cat Chow, Kitten Chow, Friskies and Kit N Kaboodle brands.Nestl Purina PetCare Company has an immediate opening for a Logistics Coordinator team member at our Davenport, IA production facility. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the receiving and shipping operations for the main and or satellite warehouse for our finished goods. You will be responsible for maintaining warehouse records and performing all job assignments as directed by Warehouse Team Leaders and Warehouse Manager to insure we meet our warehouse and customer satisfaction goals. The Logistic Coordinator will also assist with the coordination of optimal utilization of SAP/EWM Systems and data maintenance at a functional level.Primary Responsibilities:Utilize the (OM) Order management System, dock schedule and open order file, weekly production schedule, (WMS) Warehouse Management System and other tools to prioritize and manage loading and unloading workload.Coordinate dock operations including dock door assignment and trailer spotting.Assign loading and unloading work to forklift operators and print pick lists.Receive request for shipments (RFS) forms for non-finished goods and products and ensure timely shipmentsProblem Solving / Workstation Support -Assist Manager and Team Leaders in documenting procedures and performing warehouse official clerical functions.All other duties as assignedMust be available for overnight and weekend schedule.Work Schedule: Monday and Tuesday 10:00 pm - 6:00 am, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 pm - 7:00 amBasic Qualifications:High School diploma or GED required.2 years of warehouse coordination or logistics experience in a manufacturing, transportation, warehouse, military, or related environment required.It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.To our veterans and separated service members, you're at the forefront of our minds as we recruit top talent to join Nestl Purina.
