TitleDirector of Human ResourcesDescriptionJob Summary:The purpose of this position is to direct, supervise and oversee all activities and employees in the Human Resources Department at the Corporate Office of Per Mar Security Services. Responsible for overseeing Recruitment, Employment, Employee Relations, Salary Administration, Benefits, Safety, Wellness and HR Operations. Compose and communicate HR related company policies and procedures. Director of Human Resources is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.*Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Work with Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement Human Resource strategies that align with business strategy.Along with the Employment Coordinator develop and implement effective recruiting strategies.Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures the organization's compliance. Continually stay current on Human Resource issues and changing regulations and trends in the Human Resource field.Develop planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs for filling the gaps.Work with management to identify talent within the organization to develop for future growth and responsibility.Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the Human Resources of the organization.Provide technical advice and knowledge to others within the Human Resources discipline.Serve as the company EEO and Affirmative Action officer and supervise preparation of responses to any inquiries to complaints filed.Oversee employee recognition and service award programs to support company mission.Provide ongoing corporate Human Resources support to the branch personnel facilitators and provide periodic training on Human Resources functions and/or issues.Along with the Benefits Administrator oversee the administration of the company benefit plans, providing assistance or input as needed.Responsible for adequate training and staffing of the Human Resources department staff and the administrative support positions.Initiate and complete wage surveys to ensure competitive position is maintained.Oversee the proper administration of all company policies and procedures.Along with the Benefits Administrator oversee preparation of information necessary for 5500's, benefits audits, and annual reports.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Per Mar Security Services internal/external customers (including, but not limited to: current customers, prospective customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, supervisors and management) in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classes.Adhere to the highest standards of ethical business conduct and compliance by acting lawfully, ethically, honestly and professionally in the performance of their jobs at all times as well as be in compliance with company policy and procedures as it relates to their job function.When appropriate, inform customers of Per Mar Security Services of products and services and refer business to appropriate department.As this position develops, the employee may be assigned additional duties or special projects as deemed necessary by management.Assume responsibility for understanding and complying with Per Mar Security Services attendance expectations.*Essential Functions to be performed with or without a reasonable accommodationsNon-essential Functions and Responsibilities:Willingness to become involved with civic, community and professional organizations in the communities we serve in order to enhance Per Mar Security Services branding, image and profitability.Additional Management Duties:Perform all supervisory/managerial responsibilities in a manner that fully complies with Per Mar's Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Policy and that meets the requirements of all related federal and state regulations.
