Position Summary
In this position, the Field Repair Technician will travel to remote locations to provide on-site technical support to clients and Authorized Service Providers on STANLEY Healthcare products. Will be responsible for troubleshooting electronic systems that use low voltage in order to diagnose and repair problems that are reported by customers. Network connectivity and software configuration troubleshooting will also be necessary. Will serve as an escalation point to Authorized Service Providers and other Stanley Healthcare technicians. The Field Repair Technician will be required to provide training on products to end-users and to Authorized Service Providers as needed.
Responsibilities
Travel to customer sites and perform service and maintenance on STANLEY Healthcare’s products.
Support third-party Factory Authorized Service providers of STANLEY Healthcare’s products.
Provide training on STANLEY Healthcare products and services.
Act as point of escalation in the field.
Must have excellent communication and soft skills in order to:
Diffuse customers’ anxiety concerning STANLEY Healthcare products and services
Listen to customers’ descriptions of problems and successfully work with facility staff to track down and resolve problems while onsite.
Provide training to facility staff and/or STANLEY Healthcare third-party Factory Authorized Service Providers.
Effectively describe work completed on-site to resolve customer issues both verbally and in writing.
Confidently and professionally represent STANLEY Healthcare in front of customers, end-users, third-party service providers, and facility staff and residents
As this is a field service role, the candidate must be able and willing to work alone and stay in contact with the office as scheduling requirements change.
Research product documentation, configuration manuals, knowledge base, customer records, and other information resources in order to learn more about products, keep up-to-date on new problems, and to solve escalated service issues.
Escalate customer issues and request assistance as appropriate.
Acquire, maintain, and expand knowledge of relevant product offerings, current support policies, and methods of support delivery, in order to quickly provide technically accurate and complete solutions.
Workdays will typically be Monday – Friday, though occasional weekend or holiday work may be necessary in some circumstances.
On-Call will be required for weekend and holiday coverage.
Mandatory overtime is required as needed.

Must have the ability to travel extensively, overnight, on a regular basis
Physical
Required to lift up to 50 lbs. 75lbs may be required in some instances
Required to climb and stand on ladders, sometimes for extended periods of time
Required to stand in and crawl through tight spaces occasionally under extreme temperatures (attics, crawl spaces, utility access, etc.). Crawl space access may be as small as 16”
Required to work with tools while reaching above your head for extended periods of time
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License with no restrictions
2+ years of experience with Security Integration, Radio Frequency, or Access Control
Preferred Qualifications
An associate degree in Electronics or a related field OR equivalent training preferred
Ability to obtain any licensing that is deemed necessary to conduct work in the assigned region.
Some experience in field service preferred
Some experience in customer training preferred
