Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst. This role is based in the Quad Cities, Iowa/ Illinois, United States. As a Help Desk Analyst, you will be providing top-tier customer service, installing software, providing first-line customer support, and conducting continuous system analysis. You will also be responsible for creating technical documentation, assisting with training, performing administrative tasks, and staying informed about evolutions within the specific field.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

• Install software to ensure user-friendly support.

• Deliver first-line customer support for incidents and requests to get users operational as fast as possible and to prevent the same problems from reoccurring.

• Conduct continuous analysis of the system and issue recommendations or propose improvements to increase overall performance.

• Create, store, and share technical documents according to knowledge management standards.

• Draft documentation and assist with training regarding user guidelines for specific desktop products, software programs, or systems.

• Perform administrative and maintenance tasks including preventative maintenance on client systems, hardware repair, stocking and organization of hardware, inventory maintenance, and keeping up-to-date ticketing records.

• Stay informed about the evolutions within the specific field to maintain credibility and offer a service that is continuously based on updated knowledge.

• Share and transfer expertise within the IT Department.

• Train internal customers in technical solutions for business processes.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least two years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Infrastructure Administration is a must

• Familiarity with MS Office 365 is required

• Experience with Active Directory is necessary

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills are required

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently as needed

• Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

• Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology is a plus

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred

• Must be willing to continuously update skills as technology evolves.
