Your Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Engineer, for the John Deere Davenport Works located in Davenport, IA, you will support the machining operations for 4WD Loaders, Motor Graders, Articulated Dump Trucks and Forestry Equipment. In addition, you will:
Provide daily support and trouble shooting for machining/ CNC equipment operations
Establish methods, quality plans, and labor standards for new and current parts
Establish and maintain material flow plans for the area of responsibility
Implement new tooling and fixturing
Use data to implement Safety, Quality and Productivity improvements

This position will cover variable shifts.
What Skills You Need
Experience in a fabrication environment
Experience with automated processes and equipment
Experience with CNC machine operations and programming
Experience with engineering tools (PRO/E, AutoCAD etc)
Experience in developing/documenting work standards and methods
Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, etc)
Ability and willingness to work overtime as business need requires
What Makes You Stand Out
Large Component Machining Experience
Fixture design/build experience
Profile cutting experience (plasma, laser, oxy-fuel)
Forming experience (press brakes, rolls)
Experience in a union facility
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline.
