Aerotek Production Operator in Davenport, Iowa

Job Description

Join a leading manufacturer in the bread slicing industry. We specialize in producing high-quality bread slicing equipment, including blades, lattice, blade guides, and honing tools. We are looking for a dedicated first shift Operator to join our e-machine department. Candidates should have prior manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines in the e-machine department.

  • Perform general labor tasks as needed.

  • Understand and interpret conformance specifications.

  • Communicate effectively with team members.

  • Stand for long periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.

  • Extend, bend, and lift objects up to 40 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.

  • Assemble chains, requiring the lifting and moving of approximately 20 completed sections or boxes weighing 30 to 35 pounds over an eight-hour work shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of wire bending set-ups, adjustments, and specifications & tolerances for all wire components

  • Proficiency with chain assembly techniques, equipment adjustment, and inspection procedures

  • Ability to prioritize chain assembly to meet delivery schedules in collaboration with plant supervision

Work Environment

Work in a well-lit, large warehouse with multiple departments. Some areas may be very wet and hot, but fans run consistently to keep the environment cool. Candidates are allowed to wear shorts and t-shirts to stay comfortable. Employees are expected to keep their stations clean at all times.
