Eaton Corporation Site Supply Chain Leader in Davenport, Iowa

Eaton’s Aerospace business is seeking a Site Supply Chain Leader for their Mission Systems Division’s (MSD) Davenport Site. This position will be based in Davenport, IA.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this person will lead Supplier Management strategy and performance for a $340 million business unit. The role has responsibility for a team of 60+ employees, comprising Purchasing, Procurement, Planning, Scheduling and Sourcing to support the Davenport Site. This person will work in close cooperation with Integrated Product Leaders and Operations Leaders. The Site Supply Chain Leader will also continuously improve the delivery and quality of materials from suppliers and the cost of products in a compliant procurement system.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assume ownership and accountability of supply chain teams, processes, and performance, from strategic planning to tactical operations

• Focus on New Product Introduction, sourcing, negotiations, bid and proposals through manufacturing delivery performance throughout the life of the contract

• Achieve cost and delivery targets in a low volume high mix supply chain

• Lead the deployment of strategic sourcing plans in the Business Unit

• Develop and execute supplier management strategies to ensure on-time delivery of parts with highest quality and lowest cost

• Provide leadership, development opportunities and managerial oversight to the Supply Chain teams

• Foster a culture of procurement excellence by maintaining policy and standards and innovating to create and achieve best practices

• Identify gaps in functional competencies and close those gaps through organization design, team and individual development, recruitment and training

• Establish standard work and attainment of KPIs (leading and lagging)

• Ensure all business practices, contract flow downs, and responsible procurement activities are conducted in a compliant manner

• Manage major subcontracts and project procurement activity

• Draw upon the expertise of the Legal, Contracts and Commercial team to ensure robust supply chain contracts that facilitate effective performance and mitigate risk

• Ensure material supply is in balance with demand plan to manage working capital

• Direct supplier development personnel to qualify & develop suppliers, improve quality performance and manage supplier ratings

• Develop partnerships and tactical procurement relationships that enable the achievement of cost, lead time and quality goals to support our customer deliveries

Position Criteria:

• Demonstrated record of successful cost reduction, inventory control and operational efficiency

• Demonstrated record of Building Organizational Capabilities and developing talent.

• Skill with influencing internal and external stakeholders, including executive management, to achieve the initiative objectives

• Strong leadership skills with ability to leverage resources, drive change management, and interact across all levels and functions of the organization

• Ability to manage multiple projects/activities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to think strategically and influence others’ decision making

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Seven years of experience in sourcing or purchasing roles

• Five years of leadership experience developing organizations and managing people

• Five years of experience of negotiating long term complex supplier agreements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Education:

• An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is required

• An advanced degree is preferred

The expected annual salary range for this role is $136500.03 - $200200.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
