Specifications Analyst:

Publishes engineering change documents involving engineering and manufacturing data including all levels of complexity. Responsible for the integrity of the Common Specification data, Part Geometry Change Control data at a unit including the interface with Worldwide Information System for Engineers (WISE) and other worldwide common databases. Recognized as a specifications expert, providing leadership, consultation and training to others in the unit or division. Trains less experienced team members in best practices, guidelines and standards integral to the change notification process.


Writes and proofs production level specifications for design changes to complex parts and assemblies related to major programs and product improvements by analyzing engineering data and other related data for Product Delivery Process (PDP) / Product Data Management (PDM) tools. Using the engineering change process, creates, coordinates and maintains complex Bills of Material, Material Masters, drawing revisions and part attribute data in corporate information systems. Provides work direction and trains team members and other users as needed to assure work is completed using proper processes. Uses knowledge and experience to serve as liaison and consultant providing feedback that affects specification and decision activities; serves as specification representative for project teams. Completes various specification audits and monitors Engineering changes to ensure data integrity and uniformity. Coordinates and delegates inter-factory decision changes. Facilitates required multi-discipline meetings, records and publishes meeting minutes and works closely with other affected stake holders to establish a consistent pattern for adopting specifications.

Specific Position Requirements :

Manager is looking for a Specification Analyst . This person will support/manage the Engineering Change process. In addition: Monitor Engineering Change Management (ECM) process time; publish ECM's in SAP; lead weekly ECM status meetings; complete cProjects (PPM) tasks; create and maintain material masters and factory bill of materials in SAP; ensure data integrity between EPDM-Link system and the SAP system. Manager would strongly prefer candidates with a 4-year degree and 6+ months of relevant experience, but a high school diploma is required or equivalent 4+ years of relevant experience and/or certifications would be preferred Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, thrive on solving problems and working in a team environment. Must be an intermediate user of MS Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook. Business Object experience is beneficial but not required. Prefer candidates to have prior experience with of EPDM-Link, SAP and cProjects, but again it is not required. Candidate must be comfortable with multitasking and working within several different programs at any given time. Schedule 6am-2:30pm during training. Once training is complete, there is flexibility to fall between 6:00am-5pm
