Robert Half Systems Administrator in Davenport, Iowa

Description We are offering an engaging role for a Systems Administrator in Davenport, Iowa. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering and implementing a range of on-prem and cloud-based Microsoft Windows Enterprise Products. This role also involves assisting with the installation and administration of various enterprise applications and maintaining data security.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and implement Microsoft Windows Enterprise products, including but not limited to, Exchange, file, print, remote desktop tools, Active Directory, DNS, Azure.

• Handle the administration and implementation of VMWare virtual machines.

• Support the installation and administration of different enterprise applications.

• Contribute to the assessment of network and data security threats, recommending mitigation strategies as needed.

• Assist in managing Print Services on Windows Server.

• Administer and implement storage technologies, particularly NetApp/Snapshot.

• Oversee all aspects of the backup solution, including maintaining a regular systems backup schedule and ensuring air-gapped backup security.

• Utilize technical skills such as Cisco Technologies, Dell Technologies, EO/IR systems, Linux Technologies, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, and Deployments.

• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is required

• Familiarity with Dell Technologies is essential

• Knowledge of EO/IR systems is needed

• Experience with Linux Technologies is crucial

• Proficiency in Active Directory is required

• Must have a strong understanding of Backup Technologies

• Experience with Computer Hardware is necessary

• Configuration Management skills are required

• Experience in Deployments is essential

• Must have excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary

• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment

• Strong understanding of system security measures and data backup/recovery

• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms is required

• Relevant certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
