Animal Rescue League of Iowa DMAS- Customer Experience Technician: Adoptions (PT) in Des Moines Animal Services, Iowa
As Iowa’s largest nonprofit animal shelter, we are committed to protecting animals and addressing the growing demand for animal control facility space. Our mission has taken a giant leap forward with the opening of our cutting-edge New Animal Services location! This 21,850-sf facility represents a significant upgrade, designed to meet Association of Shelter Veterinarians (ASV) guidelines and regulations, and it boasts sustainability features aligned with the city’s electrification goals, including a pursuit of LEED Gold certification.
We are currently seeking full-time & part-time Customer Experience Technicians PT - to join our Adoptions team at our groundbreaking New Animal Services facility (1441 Harriet St., Des Moines, IA 50317) . In this role, you will be the face and/or voice for our furry friends and community by providing the best customer experience. You will play a key role in providing compassionate, empathetic, and friendly interactions with customers, patrons, staff, and volunteers while maintaining a safe and healthy environment. You will be joining a team that works together to create change and provides a meaningful impact every day for the animals and our community.

High School Diploma or GED (required)
WEEKEND SHIFTS REQUIRED
2 years' customer service experience (preferred)
Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
Excellent customer service skills, including problem-solving skills
Animal Handling experience (may do basic evaluations and vaccines)
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and openness to change
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
