7:45 am -3:00 pm M-Th
7:45 am-12:45 pm Friday
Summer hours: (8 hrs/wk for 17 weeks - May to mid August)
- 8 hours per week (two half-days)

General Purpose of Position:
To provide administrative and teaching assistant support to the Business Administration Department. Serve as the contact person for the Krumm Business Center (KBC). Manage activities and KBC room usage.
Essential Functions of Job:
Assist in maintaining good employee relations and morale by projecting a positive, constructive attitude.
Perform administrative assistant duties in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
Krumm Business Center Duties:
Serve as the initial point of contact for visitors to the KBC; greet and assist students, faculty, staff and guests.
Answer telephones and take messages as assigned.
Maintain office area and faculty staff/lounge in a clean and professional manner.
Order and maintain appropriate supplies and forms for office use.
Sort and distribute mail.
Report building maintenance issues to the appropriate person or office (e.g. photocopiers, instructional technology in classrooms, other building issues [gas, water electrical, structural]).
Serve as building Safety Officer.
Manage laptop cart located in Krumm Business Center.
Hire, schedule and supervise work study students who perform general clerical duties such as answering the phone, filing, photocopying, processing Scantron forms, mail distribution, file maintenance, maintaining supplies in laboratory spaces etc.
Assist full-time and part-time faculty with instructional materials and activities, including preparing exams, syllabi and other instructional materials.
Manage textbook ordering process for full-time and part-time instructors for Business department.
Proctor exams as requested by full-time and part-time faculty as needed.
Prepare and proofread administrative paperwork and correspondence such as letters, reports, memos, schedules, budgets, minutes, assessment instruments, etc.
Monitor the department-s budget, complete budget requisitions for submission to Accounts Payable; reconcile credit card statements; reimbursement forms for faculty.
Arrange meetings by making room reservations, coordinating schedules and activities, and preparing materials.
Assist the department with contacting and scheduling meetings with students, faculty and staff.
Provide coordination and support for various department events such as public lectures, Business Colloquium, Business Advisory Board meetings, BSGR 574 residency, class guest speakers, etc.
Manage the application and selection administrative process for Business Advisory Board Mentor program, various scholarships, and awards for business students.
Arrange meetings and outreach communication along with the faculty advisor for Business advisory Board Mentor program.
Assist BSAD faculty advisors with student organizations (such as PBL, Investments Club, Sport Management Club, Alpha Chi, etc.)
Assist with other duties to support the department faculty as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor degree preferred.
Prior administrative assistant experience or equivalent training preferred.
Must possess strong interpersonal; and communication skills, both written and oral.
Proficiency in the use of computers, email, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required. Experience with Microsoft Office, Access, and Blackboard Course Management System preferred.
Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in an accurate and timely manner.
Professional behavior required, including the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Work is performed in a normal office setting. Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours. During course of day, can interact with students, faculty, and staff by computer, phone, or in person.
