UnityPoint Health Administrative Secretary-Quality Improvement in Des Moines, Iowa

Provides secretarial and administrative support for Director of Clinical Decision Support and Quality and staff which includes Clinical Quality, Infection Prevention, Clinical Informatics and Risk Management.

  • Attends monthly/quarterly/bi-monthly meetings and transcribe meeting minutes.

  • Distributes and prepares meeting documents.

  • Manages/coordinates calendar meetings, room reservations via Outlook.

  • Creates spreadsheets/presentations/correspondence as needed.

  • Maintains department documents related to DNV/DIA.

  • Maintains department documents for staff.

  • Maintains department records related to staff.

  • Manages/edits/distributes Quality newsletter.

  • Provides physician reappointment assistance/ support.

  • Facilitates document control processes

  • Acts as department timekeeper – Kronos entries / submission.

  • Manages requests for office equipment maintenance.

  • Manages office supplies.

  • Answers / routes incoming calls.

  • Manages catering requests, travel arrangements, retreat planning,

  • Creates flow charts, PowerPoint presentations, Spreadsheets or other documents as requested.

High school graduate or GED equivalent. Two years secretarial experience required. Experience in health care or management setting preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must be able to type accurately. Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Minimum of 40 WPM. Proficient in Visio, Publisher and full version of Adobe Acrobat preferred.
