MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics or related field
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to candidates with prior successful teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will be expected to develop, teach and coordinate algebra- and calculus-based Physics courses, as well as coordinate physical science courses (including those with laboratories) that appeal to a broad audience of students. In addition, the candidate will be expected to teach introductory science courses (depending on background) and courses that serve the liberal arts core. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive pedagogy and to continued growth in these practices. Other duties include advising a diverse population of students, and participating in activities that serve the Department, University and community.
