Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) provides financial services to 21 million retail bank households and three million small business customers through approximately 4,900 retail branches, 17 customer service centers, and approximately 13,000 ATMs in 36 states and the District of Columbia. Branch Banking serves more than 70 million consumer and small business customers through a distribution network consisting of approximately 4,900 retail banking branches, complemented by online and digital channels, and a network of 13,000 ATMs across 36 states and Washington, D.C. Branch Banking includes the regions, Branch Banking Operations and Supervision, and Consumer Banking National Business Development.
•This role will be responsible for providing senior level strategic consulting on key branch banking strategic initiatives.
•Will leverage in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding Wells Fargo, CSBB, Branch Banking business strategy and emerging trends in the Industry.
•This role will work with senior leaders across Branch Banking and cross-functional teams to help define the business strategy and implementation plans.
•Provide leadership in the identification of strategic business opportunities; evaluation and approval process of identified opportunities; identification and implementation of technology requirements (systems, architecture and infrastructure) as well as coordination of technical resources; and communication of strategy and related business plans to management.
10+ years of strategic planning experience
10+ years of strategic planning and development experience
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills
Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
Strong strategic and conceptual thinking skills
Knowledge and understanding of strategic planning and execution
Strong risk management and compliance skills
Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
Ability to effectively partner and influence at the executive level
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Meeting facilitation experience in leading discussions that result in consensus and commitment
Knowledge and understanding of the retail banking environment and affluent client markets
Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management
Experience with Agile methodology of project delivery
Other Desired Qualifications
• Experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements which may include workflows, process maps, or business processes;
• Experience working with Corporate Finance and the Project Management Office (PMO) on effective forecasting and budget management of projects or initiatives;
• Proven success leading cross functional work groups in matrixed environments
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
