Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Business Analyst. This position will be a fully remote position within the United States.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide contracted support to the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology. The environment is dynamic and challenging, as client needs are often evolving. As a self-starter on a team of high-performers, you will work closely with our VA partners to improve operational processes and to build a success-oriented organization focused on data analytics and integrity.

You will fulfill a critical need for the Data and Analytics (D&A) portfolio as it drives to a unified intake process using Service Now and connecting to Jira and other legacy systems.

• Collaborate with D&A stakeholders to define success criteria, use cases, and requirements for the unified intake solution using Service Now.

• Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of Service Now out of the box capabilities to address ability to meet D&A needs.

• Work with Product Owners and Scrum Teams in requirements decomposition, backlog refinement, and breakdown of user stories and tasks.

• Coordinate and participate in discussions with Service Now to explore available products, technologies, and capabilities.Conduct market research and engage with industry experts to gather insights and best practices for Service Now solutions.

• Review current use of Service Now and other technologies in the organization, identifying best practices and limitations to overcome.

• Collaborate with the team to set up and configure the Service Now environment, ensuring alignment with business requirements and objectives.

• Provide support and assistance to the project manager and other stakeholders as needed throughout the PoC process.

• Interface regularly with the VA OIT team responsible for implementation and maintenance of Service Now solutions.

• Adhere to VA processes regarding Service Now implementation and maintenance.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on technology solutions.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, agile methodologies, and user story development.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience conducting user workshops, gathering requirements, and defining success criteria.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient with Jira and GitHub

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with government agencies and VA in particular is a plus

• Extensive familiarity with Servicenow capabilities.

Clearance Required:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a suitability/public trust clearance

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $80,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.
