The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices as well as online and digital channels.

The Business Lending Relationship Representative manages relationships for a number of assigned medium to large and/or high profile dealer accounts. In this role they will develop and modify strategy, proposals, and initiatives with close supervision to generate additional revenues through optimizing business opportunities and retaining/ensuring satisfaction with dealers. In addition, they will analyze the profitability of ongoing relationship management and make

recommendations to management about account disposition. They are afforded the opportunity to perform needs analyses with current customers, understand customer needs, and build customer urgency.

With supervision, they may negotiate terms on contracts with dealers or create customized pricing and solutions. The sales approach is unscripted and is developed through existing customer channels.

The position is not in a call center environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of sales experience, relationship management experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

  • 2+ years of sales experience

  • Customer service focus with the ability to listen to customer needs and recommend solutions

  • Strong credit analysis skills

  • Ability to meet or exceed business goals and objectives, while fostering a team atmosphere

  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to make cold calls to existing clients

  • Relationship focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend issues/needs, and recommend solutions

  • Experience in credit card or the financial services industry

  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and internal partners both in person and on the phone

  • Experience interacting positively in tough situations

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

IA-Des Moines: Min: $38,000 Mid: $52,000
