Job Description: Safely drive a retail lumber yard truck to deliver outgoing merchandise and pick up incoming merchandise. The truck is 24’ straight truck, automatic transmission, with a box and ramp Delivery of material to correct job address in a safe and timely manner in accordance with all legal requirements. Delivered material may be done with the use of a pickup, straight (with or without forklift) or box truck. Operate a forklift when necessary to unload incoming merchandise from trucks or rail cars stacking and storing in appropriate storage areas. Candidate's will load and unload materials like windows, doors, trim, etc. and usually will have a driver helper with them to unload. Must be able to lift an average of 50 pounds, and maximum of approximately 100 pounds. Keep equipment maintained in a safe, proper condition as well as clean. Helps walk-in customer fill their order and load their vehicles Other duties assigned based on need. If there aren't enough deliveries for the day would work in the yard, which is mainly open area completing inventory of lumber, trim, windows, doors, etc. All of their products and materials are for residential builds, some commercial projects.
