About the program:

  • 3 week Certified Nursing Assistant program will lay the foundation for your future healthcare career

  • Typical responsibilities including bathing, grooming, transferring or rooming patients and advocating for their concerns to their healthcare providers

  • As a CNA, you'll be a critical member of patients' healthcare teams, advocating and caring for them through your work

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) work alongside medical professionals to ensure that patients are cared for throughout their health journey. Through this course, you will learn the skills necessary to care for patients and their families under the direction of a licensed healthcare professional. The first two weeks of Mercy College’s CNA program include classroom instruction and lab practice, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the third week of the course, you will work in your clinical experience with our local healthcare partners.

You will be paid while completing the course and MercyOne will cover the cost of the program with a one-year work commitment. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be promoted into a full-time CNA/Patient Care Technician position within MercyOne.
