Construction Laborer / Commercial Installer

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Status: Hiring / Full-Time / Weekly Pay

Schedule & Pay: Monday - Friday / 7:00 am - 4:00 pm / $19-$22 hr.

In this role, you will specialize in delivering and installing high-quality furniture solutions for various commercial projects. Job Description: As an Installer, you will be responsible for the delivery, assembly, and installation of office furniture at commercial job sites. You will work closely with construction teams to ensure that all furniture is installed according to specifications, utilizing blueprints and job tickets to guide your work. Your expertise will contribute to creating efficient and well-organized environments for businesses before their occupancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery & Assembly: Deliver and assemble furniture at commercial job sites, ensuring that all items are handled with care and installed correctly.

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Follow blueprints and instructions to determine how the furniture should be assembled and where it should be placed.

  • Logistics Management: Load and unload furniture from trucks, ensuring safe transportation to and from job sites.

  • Installation Tasks: Install furniture according to blueprints or job tickets, including the mounting of cabinets, cubbies, counters, and bookshelves.

  • Site Preparation: Prepare and clean the job site before and after installations, maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

  • Modular Systems Management: Responsible for the assembly, disassembly, reassembly, and delivery/installation of modular office furniture systems.

Requirements:

  • *Valid Drivers License, reliable transportation, and clean records - both back ground & driving*

  • Proven experience in the construction field or furniture installation (must be comfortable utilizing hand and power tools)

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings

Work Environment:

  • This position involves working on various commercial job sites, interacting with construction teams, and ensuring timely project completion.

  • Work hours may vary, typically Monday through Friday 8-9 hr. shifts, with some overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.

  • You will be required to travel to different job sites in company vehicles.
