As a Contract Administrator, you will provide administration for third-party vendor contracts and, as necessary, other internal and external contracts. You will be responsible for the maintenance of and reporting on such contracts, including ensuring the contract database is kept up to date and that any contract events are communicated to the business or other appropriate stakeholders . You will f acilitate business and legal interpretation for contract related issues and inquiries and w ork in conjunction with Vendor Management to provide reviews and educational sessions for stakeholders. In addition , you will draft and rout e contract amendments , renewals, terminations, and nondisclosure agreements for approvals and signatures . Y ou will also help the organization by f acilitat ing processes for all non-employees including onboarding, tracking, offboarding, and reporting .

  • Associates Degree in related field or direct and applicable work experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience:

  • Administering contracts

  • Managing the workflow of contracts

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to concisely convey your message

  • Basic analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and alternative solutions

  • Proven negotiation skills, including the ability to positively influence

a. Review and analyze third-party vendor contracts executed by Wellmark ranging from simple purchasing agreements to highly complex agreements e.g. licensing or outsourcing agreements. Will review and scrutinize these agreements in order to ensure that Wellmark and the business can effectively administer each contract and advise the contract owners on the rights and obligations contained in each contract.b. Organize and track all third-party vendor contracts and related documents utilizing the corporate contract database to effectively facilitate Procurements Contract Life-cycle Management program. Ensure that the contract database system functions properly in order to serve Procurement Services and the overall organization. Review and monitor contract documentation for third-party vendor contracts and, as necessary, other internal and external contracts. Facilitate contract closeout and termination efforts as needed.c. Research and/or resolve stakeholder requests and provide followups in a timely manner. Maintain effective working relationships with external vendors and internal business stakeholders. Provide appropriate documentation and interpretation of contractual rights and obligations internally, consulting with Legal as appropriate and as needed. Seek advice from Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and other departments, when appropriate.d. In conjunction with Vendor Management, perform contract summary reviews and education sessions with business stakeholders, as may be requested or needed from time to time, to reinforce critical contract provisions for maximum realization of contract value and increased risk mitigation.e. Utilize the contract database to create contract event alerts and issue related communications appropriately to applicable stakeholders. Monitor departmental compliance to contract administration processes and procedures.f. For tracking and reporting purposes, determine the contract data points, working with Legal as appropriate, that will be tracked and identified as key Wellmark requirements.g. Handle the drafting, negotiation, and routing for approvals and signatures of amendments and nondisclosure agreements as assigned by Procurement leadership.h. Manage and facilitate all non-employee administration processes on behalf of Procurement to onboard, track, and report on non-employees. Including reviewing and processing onboarding requests for new non-employees, change request forms, termination of non-employees, monthly reporting, and guest report validation.i. Prepare and report results of contract administration activities directly to leadership on a routine basis.j. Investigate new opportunities for utilization of technology and leverage technology solutions in order to improve the efficiency and/ or effectiveness of contract administration processes, including potential new systems, process changes, and process development.k. Other duties as assigned.
