Mercy College of Health Sciences is a Catholic institution of higher education, rooted in the heritage of the Sisters of Mercy, guided by our core values of knowledge, reverence, integrity, compassion, and excellence.
Develops the schedule for continuing education courses. Assigns instructors and ensures instructors are prepared to teach the courses.
Provides teaching lifesaving skills to the community and health care professionals and EMT program. Supervises and evaluates student learning experiences.
Assists instructors with room set up, securing supplies, materials and equipment. Orders and maintains inventory of supplies, materials and equipment.
Reviews and analyzes course and instructor evaluations. Identifies areas of improvements and makes recommendations for enhancements.
Assists the Continuing Education Director with implementing new courses or enhancing current courses.
Assists with the coordination of national registry testing for EMTs.
Ensures regulatory compliance by auditing and reviewing processes and documentation on a regular basis.
Maintains instructor records for all instructors aligned with Mercy College Training Center. Assists instructors with alignment and renewal processes.
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Two-year degree or equivalent training and/or experience.
Certified in BLS, ACLS and PALS. Ability to obtain instructor credential within a specified period of time.
Certified as a Emergency Medical Technician with instructor endorsement or ability to obtain instructor endorsement within a specific period of time.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
Demonstrated excellent attention to detail, organizational and multi-tasking skills Ability to multi-task.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
