Robert Half Customer Service Representative I in Des Moines, Iowa

Description We are offering a role in the telecom industry for a diligent Customer Service Representative in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves providing exceptional customer service through phone interactions, processing phone payments, and maintaining customer accounts. This role also involves liaising with vendors and handling various account maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service via telephone, ensuring all customer inquiries are answered appropriately and in a timely manner

• Actively contact customers through phone or email to solicit and enroll customers into direct debit and email invoicing

• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and/or lessees

• Carry out Direct Debit ACH Account Maintenance Processes and maintenance journal requests

• Handle incoming customer calls and process address changes

• Process requests for lease documentation and fee waiver requests

• Conduct account audits and reconciliation

• Process insurance cancellation requests and payments by phone

• Adjust grace periods, add purchase order numbers, and adjust due dates

• Process outside vendor requests, credit reference requests, lease assignment requests, and tax requests, as appropriate. Requirements • Must possess strong customer service skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

• Ability to create and manage documentation with precision

• Experience with invoice processing and payment processing

• Knowledge of insurance and auditing principles

• Strong phone presence and experience handling customer queries

• Proficiency in reconciliations and handling vendors

• Understanding of credit principles and purchase orders

• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the role

• Familiarity with tax principles

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites

• Experience with customer account management

• Knowledge of financial services is preferred

• Call center experience is a plus

• This role may require onsite work

• Understanding of debit credit transactions

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions

• Strong written communication skills

• Ability to maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders

• Experience in relationship building is advantageous.
