A company that has partnered with Robert Half is in need for a temporary data entry clerk in the Des Moines Area. A data entry clerk is responsible for inputting a high volume of data from multiple sources into a database, ensuring that all necessary data is being entered and maintained. In addition, data entry clerks must verify and edit data as needed. Apart from storing, they may also be required to retrieve information when needed.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Compiling, verifying the accuracy, and sorting information to prepare source data for computer entry.

• Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities, and checking the output.

• Entering customer and account data from source documents within time limits.

• Researching and obtaining further information for incomplete documents.

• Generating reports, storing completed work in designated locations, and performing backup operations.

• Scanning documents and printing files, when needed.

• Complying with data integrity and security policies.

Requirements

Qualifications for the role:

• Proven data entry work experience.

• Excellent typing speed and accuracy.

• Attention to detail with an ability to spot numerical errors.

• Familiarity with administrative duties.

• Experience using office equipment, such as scanners preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
