Job Description:

The Field Sales Representative (Natural Chain) will be responsible for supporting Garden of Life, NPG Solgar, Vital Proteins and other assigned specialty brands with sales and service of products, programs, and services to Independent and Key Account Retail locations such as Sprouts Markets and Vitamin Cottage, as well as with assigned National Accounts within the states of Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri. There is a strong preference for candidates located in either Kansas City, Missouri or in Omaha, Nebraska. When not travelling for business, this is a remote-based opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily on-site visits to retail locations within a defined territory to consultatively sell concepts such as category management, brand block sets, and quarterly business planning.

• Establish and maintain relationships with key personnel at each retail location while continuously providing product and brand education.

• Understand and present strategic and conceptual retail programs.

• Collaborate consistently with co-workers, regional team members, and management.

• Produce weekly/monthly reports and participate in regional conference calls.

• Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned by the Field Sales Manager.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• 2+ years of Outside Sales and/or Retail Sales experience required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) is required.

• Must have excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, presentation and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to develop and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships).

• Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Must be self-motivated and possess both strong time management and revenue generating skills.

• Willing and able to travel up to and including 80% (up to 5 days/week) based on the needs of the team and the business.

The approximate pay range for this position is $48,000 to $50,000. In addition to your annual salary, you will also be eligible for BOTH commissions and quarterly bonuses payable in accordance with the Company’s plan. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
