Facebook is seeking a Global Mobility (GloMo) Tax Manager for Program Operations who partners cross functionally to support the execution of our tax programs for mobile employees. The role requires having a great passion for the global day to day management of the delivery of GloMo Tax services with a commitment to deliver a best in class & forward-thinking employee experience. Primary areas of focus will include operations management of payroll tax compliance related to relocation benefits and compensation reporting related to mobile employees, in addition to regional support for NORAM for all aspects of our Global Mobility Tax programs. The preferred candidate will have previous experience in managing the operations of an in-house mobility tax programs, along with extensive experience in global tax & social security payroll compliance, expatriate income taxation and tax equalization program administration.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage the operational aspects of the global mobility tax program, including day-to-day interactions with employees, vendors and internal stakeholders primarily in NORAM but also globally to ensure a smooth experience for all stakeholders, while adhering to company policies and statutory requirements.

  2. Collaborate with Global Mobility Recruiting and Immigration teams to ensure seamless delivery of all GloMo services to employees and a holistic approach to providing information to internal stakeholders such as HRBPs and Recruiting.

  3. Respond to escalations and policy related queries from employees related to our tax programs for international & domestic transferees, international assignees and international & domestic business travelers.

  4. Partner with equity programs, corporate tax, employment tax, payroll and employment law to manage the cross-functional management of mobility tax.

  5. Partner with the Global Mobility Tax Director and the other Global Mobility Tax Managers to deliver on the tax programs experience vision and ensure that the tax services vendor delivers on the employee experience.

  6. Ability to translate complex tax technical matters into common language easily understandable by our employees and internal non-tax technical stakeholders.

  7. Hold tax vendors responsible for the delivery of an exceptional employee experience and ensure that they are delivery on agreed metrics.

  8. Additional opportunities will be both self-identified and assigned by the Global Mobility Tax Director, always in alignment with team and company goals.

  9. Available for domestic and international travel if needed (tentatively up to 5 - 10% of time).

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fields.

  2. 12+ years of global mobility tax experience, with experience managing in-house mobility tax programs and/or consulting/accounting firms experience.

  3. Demonstrated depth of experience in mobility taxation, global compensation reporting, mobility payroll processes, including systems, vendors, in-house processes and related operations.

  4. In-depth experience with payroll systems and operations, including significant work with payroll reporting and compliance for relocation benefits, stipends and shadow payroll.

  5. Experience owning highly confidential situations and data that requires 100% data privacy and security.

  6. Customer service skills and proven experience performing in a fast-paced environment.

  7. Experience working independently and require little instruction on the day-to-day work.

  8. Experience working in a team environment to achieve goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Workday Payroll implementations and operations.

  2. Experience as a leader of the operational management of a global mobility tax program either in-house or as a professional services advisor.

  3. Experience working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, including the experience flexing to changing circumstances and priorities.

  4. Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.

  5. Self-starter and fast learner with the experience to quickly establish relationships and be viewed as a trusted advisor, subject matter expert.
