Principal Financial Group Implementation Coordinator-NQ in Des Moines, Iowa

What You'll Do

As an Implementation Coordinator you will have the opportunity to positively contribute toward Non-Qualified benefit sales by ensuring accurate, timely, and expert implementation of new ancillary business, for both new and existing policyholders, for the broker and client in a specified sales region. All duties will be carried out with outstanding service and in alignment with business unit goals.

  • Management of Installation: Use a proactive and consultative approach to lead the customer experience by providing expertise for implementation solutions and processes. Responsible for the overall happiness of customer and broker experience to result in strategic growth of block. Detail orientation to ensure accuracy during implementation. Provide expert knowledge on products and installation capabilities. Subject matter expert of sold proposals and ability to communicate impact of policy provisions to customers.

  • Implementation meetings/client contact: Analyze information to be able to present and communicate recommendations to the sales rep and broker on sophisticated issues and/or conflicting information. Exercise independent judgement and critical thinking skills to meet and exceed the client expectations using a variety of enrollment capabilities. Use problem solving skills to solve customer requests based on best practices within Principal. Lead implementation calls to help foster broker/client relationships. Partner with sales reps, account executives, and internal sales specialists to understand the overall impact the customer experience has on future sales as it relates to broker relationships and expectations.

  • Partner with Brokers: Manage, control and assume full responsibility for broker relationship during sold case implementation. This can include training broker staff in person, by phone, virtual meeting, or email as needed to build relationships with brokers and or customers. Supervise the pipeline (quoting and sold case) in the system to effectively move business through the sales and implementation process while meeting timing and accuracy guidelines.

  • Sold Case Submission: Complete final review of plan design features, policy provisions, and administrative set up and communicate effectively and accurately to the implementation team in home office. Build and maintain relationships with implementation team to ensure timely and efficient installation experience. Produce and provide documentation to the broker and sales office partners upon case completion. Proactively manage discrepancies with installation and communication with broker and sales team.

  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as the need arises.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Prefer 1+ years of related experience in individual Non-Qualified benefits services, marketing, or sales.

  • Salesforce experience preferred.

  • Requires broad understanding of insurance operations, products, and concepts with the ability to apply marketing strategies and systems.

  • Requires strong planning, organizational, problem solving, and time management skills with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.

  • Requires effective verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to develop effective relationships and empower producer behavior.

  • Be self advised and be able to accomplish work with limited supervision and general work direction.

  • Occasional overtime may be required.

  • Some travel may be required including overnight stays (5%).

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$20.84 - $39.81 / hour

Time Off Program

Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
