Job Description

Our team has partnered with a Fortune 500 Financial Services company to assist in an enterprise-wide infrastructure refresh. Currently, we are hiring Computer Science graduates and Information Technology professionals. This position is the liaison between desktop and administration teams who, efficiently operate at a high-level. The scope of this position is providing IT support for desktop and administrative teams. Overview

  • Training turnaround is 4 months.

  • In-house training on Proprietary systems and business knowledge will be provided.

  • Soft skills are important here. Call Center or Customer Service experience is nice to have.

Day to Day

  • Ticket volume will depend on the day, but these are escalated tickets ranging from 15-30 per day.

  • You will handle technical support issues from business partners, along with viewing client data and helping with IT asset management systems.

  • Work on backlog IT tickets and connect with end users to resolve software and hardware problems.

  • The team is in the process of an O365 and Windows migration, so basic automation skill is required.

  • Track equipment and organize hardware inventories.

  • Break/fix hardware and talk with vendors to understand warranties.

  • Look up warranty statuses on hardware and submit security requests for website logins.

  • Work with Business Units to assist advisors with questions and needs.

  • Assist with the roll out of new equipment to include manual and automated imaging and software installation.

  • Assist with hardware, software, application, and data migrations.

  • Answer business partner’s technical calls, emails, IM’s, and more.

  • Technologies: Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, PFG proprietary software, Mobile Devices, Laptop/Desktop/iPad, Citrix Receiver/XenDesktop/XenApp, Cisco networking LAN/WAN/Wireless

Additional

  • Basic planning/organizational, time management, decision-making, and superb written/verbal communication skills.

  • Must be able to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Possess strong problem-solving and big picture/conceptual skills.

  • Must be able to work with people at all levels and demonstrate the ability to understand and embrace change.

Work Environment

  • Team of about 60 people.

  • Primarily providing hardware/software support through calls, walkup, email and IM.

  • Support roughly 6,000 people throughout the US.

  • No tiered helpdesk and the team escalate issues between technicians on the team.

  • The dress code is business casual, and the environment is a team-based.

  • Monday-Friday. No Weekends.

  • 1st Shift hours.

  • Training turnaround is 2 months.
