Principal Investment Ops Specialist (Client Reporting) in Des Moines, Iowa

As an Investment Operations Specialist on our PGI Operations Reporting team you'll identify and resolve problems following established guidelines and raise complex problems to Analyst team members. You'll be part of a team that works with data to generate information for internal partners and make sense of it all!

Your day will be filled with:

  • Independently performing routine and intermediate recurring procedures, analysis and report preparation to support the lifecycle of investments in a global infrastructure.

  • Collection and verification of data from appropriate sources, ensuring accurate and up to date security information on the various systems across multiple asset classes including Fixed Income, Equities, and Derivatives.

  • Supporting global investment initiatives through participation in projects, process reviews and/or system improvements.

  • Proactively diagnose and manage high risk issues by reviewing and identifying operational improvements to ensure that data is handled and processed accurately and effectively throughout the lifecycle.

  • Conducting special analyses and/or studies and ensuring quality standards are met.

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, economics or business required.

  • 1+ years' work experience in investment/mutual fund operations or related field preferred.

  • Experience with Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, time management and communication skills.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and timely information.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment under limited direct supervision.

  • Strong prioritization and flexibility as business needs change

  • Ability to build strong working relationships, exercise flexibility and effectively connect with internal and external contacts at all levels.

  • Solid understanding of financial services and investment related terminology preferred
