Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

Join our dedicated team as a Lab Technician where you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of dairy products. Your tasks will include testing pasteurized milk for proper pasteurization and homogenization, performing temperature checks on storage tanks, and testing for microbial contamination in product containers and samples. You will also be involved in testing the chemical and physical properties of products, monitoring culture tanks, organizing lab samples, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Additionally, you will assist in internal audits, perform instrument calibrations, and periodically collect random samples from the production floor.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Thursday, 6am-4pm, with initial training spread over weekdays. You'll be working in a lab within a dairy manufacturing facility, handling products like milk, yogurt, and cheese. The environment may include a warm, loud production floor with slippery conditions. You will be part of a small team, reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, and dressed in a uniform supplied by Aramark. This is a 7-month contract-to-hire position, with potential for extension.
