Emerson Machine Operator in Des Moines, Iowa

Job Summary

We are looking to hire a Machine Operator to be based in our Orange, Virginia location. Come join a great team in The Cable Department Center of Excellence and work together to achieve optimal performance.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Operates conventional and CNC production machines such as winders, milling machines, drill presses, broaches, lathes, saws, grinders, welders, etc

  • Sand, deburr, etc. as necessary to properly complete the machining operation with the quality required.

  • Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role.

  • Familiarity with a variety of CNC machines and controls.

  • Solid understanding of CNC programming and machining techniques.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • 2 to 4 years of machining experience.

  • Welding knowledge

  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
