Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

A global leading wheel and tire assembly manufacturer for the agriculture, construction, forestry, and mining markets, is seeking Electrical Technicians to join our 3rd shifts at Titan Tire Corporation, located in Des Moines, IA. The primary function of this position (Electrical Technician) is to install, alter, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. You will lead and direct the work of 2-5 Electricians. You must be able to perform work independently or under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Engineering Manager. This role requires the use of independent judgment and a high degree of confidentiality.

Hard Skills

  • Logically engineer, design, draw schematics, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment efficiently

  • Proficient knowledge of electronic and PLC Technology and programming

  • Familiarity with electrical theory, NEC codes, and OSHA standards

  • Ability to locate, analyze, and correct power failures, short circuits, and electrical related problems

  • Electrical systems: 3 years (Required)

Soft Skills

  • Effectively maintain the highest standards of excellence for safety, housekeeping, and quality

  • Compliance with all codes and regulations

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa.

Work Environment

Shift: (1st and 3rd shift available) 1st: 7am-3pm Monday - Friday (flexibility required) 3rd: 11pm - 7am Monday - Friday Peak busy season may require up to 80 hours (with weekend pay) Dress Code: Steel-toed boots, jeans, safety glasses, hearing protection on the production floor Team Size: Oversee maintenance technicians Environment: Typical tire manufacturing facility, machines from the 40s, some new automated equipment, not temperature controlled
