Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will oversee preventive maintenance (PM) projects, develop and implement maintenance strategies, manage schedules, and ensure the seamless operation of our tire manufacturing plant. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of production and safety. Key Duties: - Oversee Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Implement Maintenance Strategies: Create and execute effective maintenance strategies that align with the company’s operational goals and enhance overall production efficiency. Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation. Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to the position. - Manage Maintenance Schedules: Develop, maintain, and optimize maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of the plant. - Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and accountability. - Budget Management: Manage the maintenance department budget, optimizing resources while ensuring high standards of equipment reliability and plant safety. - Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment for all employees. - Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective service and parts procurement.

Hard Skills

  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and reliability practices

  • Proficiency in maintenance management software (EAM or CMMS) and scheduling tools

  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Environment

Shift: 1st 7am-3pm Monday - Friday. During peak busy season the production floor will ramp as high as 80 hours. Managers can receive weekend pay and plant incentives. Dress Code: Steel toed boots, jeans, safety glasses, hearing protection when on production floor. Team Size: Oversee Supervisors. Environment: Typical tire manufacturing facility, machines from the 40s, some new automated equipment, not temperature controlled.
